Continuing Kaleida Health’s integration for the Twin Tier project, we are announcing the following appointment within the human resources department:
Joyce Martinez has been hired as the Regional Twin Tier director of human resources, effective April 30, 2018. Martinez has served as the director of human resources for Upper Allegheny Health System since 2010.
She previously worked as director of recruitment and retention at Catholic Health and its member hospitals and served as chief operating officer and director of human resources at Mee Memorial Hospital, King City, Calif.
In her new role, Martinez will be tasked with organizing and leading human resources efforts for Kaleida Health’s Twin Tier affiliates and emerging affiliates including Olean General Hospital, Bradford Regional Medical Center, Brooks-TLC Hospital System, Inc., and Cuba Memorial Hospital.
Martinez will be responsible for management of human resources staff, budget, administration of all human resources policies, benefit and compensation programs, employee relations services, labor relations, management training, regulatory requirements and internal employment functions.
She will report to Mary Lou Klee, vice president of human resources, Kaleida Health.
This “local” presence in the Twin Tiers will rely heavily on the centralized human resources function at Kaleida Health.
About the Twin Tier Network
Kaleida Health has been working with five Twin Tier hospitals over the past 18 months to implement their respective affiliation agreements.
A new “twin tier” network is being created to take advantage of the capabilities and market presence of Upper Allegheny Health System (Olean and Bradford, Pa), Brooks-TLC Hospital System and Cuba Memorial Hospital.
In an effort to best serve our respective patients, the Twin Tier will work as an integrated system with Kaleida Health to rapidly improve quality, leverage its scale plus integrate and optimize its use of technology. This will better position all entities and help them achieve sustainability into the future, leveraging Upper Allegheny infrastructure and capabilities.
