Dan Lukasiewicz, a physical therapist for the Visiting Nursing Association (VNA) of Western New York, was named Kaleida Health’s 2019 Employee of the Year at the Strategic Communications Team Summit and Employee of the Year Celebration on Tuesday, November 12.
Dan is a physical therapist with the VNA's Erie County branch. For 26 years, he has been changing peoples’ lives for the better.
According to his colleagues, Dan is creative and funny. His head is always in the game, and he makes work enjoyable for everyone he encounters. Whether a manager, clinician or patient, you always get the same honest Dan. He advocates for and promotes other disciplines while in on a case. He is a true team player. Dan is the first person people call when they have a problem. His co-workers all agree that he is one of the best people they have ever met, and his energy is truly contagious.
Dan has been very active in patient satisfaction and employee engagement, as he sees clearly that they go hand in hand. He spends countless hours on patient satisfaction initiatives. In addition, he served as a union steward for many years.
