Following the recent appointment of Paul Belter as Kaleida Health’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, the organization is announcing several key promotions within the Finance team.
Katie O’Connell has been named vice president of revenue cycle after serving in the interim role over the past year. During her time as interim vice president, O’Connell has worked to build a Revenue Cycle team that is producing meaningful performance improvement. She is passionate about partnering with operational leadership on continuous improvement and addressing the process issues that lead to best practice revenue realization rates.
O’Connell has been with Kaleida Health since 2017. Prior to joining Kaleida Health, she served as a senior director within Huron Consulting Group’s Revenue Cycle practice.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).
Andrew Brennan has been named director of Kaleida Health Financial Planning and Analysis. Brennan, who joined Kaleida Health in 2016 and most recently served as director of revenue analysis, will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Planning, Decision Support, Budgeting and Revenue Analysis & Recognition across the organization. He has exhibited great leadership in evolving Kaleida Health’s revenue recognition models and taking the lead in supporting the site management teams in gaining an improved understanding of their revenue performance. His analytical skills and ability to synthesize data into useable information has been widely recognized.
Brennan holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from SUNY Oswego and a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from D’Youville College. He is also currently sitting for his CPA licensure and is a member of HFMA.
In addition, Sarah Pyc has been named manager of Kaleida Health Investment and Treasury. Pyc has served as Kaleida Health’s investment analyst for the past three years and has taken a leadership role in reshaping the organization’s treasury function. The opportunity to consolidate and integrate Kaleida Health’s approach to managing our daily cash liquidity is significant, and Pyc has been a driving force in directing the organizational change. Additionally, Pyc has continued do an exemplary job in leading the management of the organization’s significant investment portfolio.
Pyc holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business in the Liberal Arts from St. Lawrence University. She is preparing for Level II of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Exam.
