Kristen Hagerman, MS, BNI, RN-BC, has been named Chief Clinical Informatics Officer for Kaleida Health.
In this role, Hagerman will be responsible for the design, build and management of the IT Clinical Informatics, end user support, and IT Learning Services Department. In addition, she will lead and be responsible for the planning and implementation of information systems used in the clinical environment and facilitate Kaleida Health's clinical enterprise strategic plan.
Hagerman most recently served as CEO of her independent consultant consulting company, Connected Care Consulting, LLC. She has more than 20 years of experience in clinical informatics, EMR optimization, data analytics, digital strategy development, mobile technology, population health, emerging technology start-up clinical integration advisory and interim leadership. Hagerman recently led the ambulatory EMR selection process at a large for-profit, multi-state company. She also held an interim leadership position at CHRISTUS Health in their IT Project Management Office Department, where she oversaw the implementation of all clinical projects.
Other previous leadership roles included vice president and chief nursing officer for JVION, Inc., a cognitive science/A.I. technology company; chief nursing informatics officer/system vice president nursing informatics for Advocate Health Care in Chicago; and system director health informatics at CHRISTUS Health in Dallas, where she transformed the clinical informatics departments.
Hagerman completed her nursing degree in Toronto, Canada, has a Bachelor of Nursing Informatics from Central Queensland University in Australia and a Master of Science in Health Informatics from Walden University in Maryland. She is ANCC board certified in nursing informatics.
